Bacillus licheniformis SMIA-2 protease used as an additive in detergent formulations

چکیده

Microbial proteases, especially from Bacillus spp., have been widely exploited for a broad variety of applications, such as the improvement cleaning efficiency conventional detergents. In this work, statistical design experiment was used to optimize concentrations three-component mixture: licheniformis SMIA-2 protease, Linear Alkylbenzene Sulphate and hydrogen peroxide, in an attempt prepare environmentally correct formulation. The results demonstrated that combination 1% (w/v) protease with 1.5% LAS H2O2 effective removing blood cloth pieces concentration decrease 1.0% 0.5% would not significant impact on percent removal if between 1.5-2.0% lower (<0.5%, w/v) were used. Thus, can be effectively incorporated into formulations together peroxide formulate more sustainable

Optimization of alkaline protease production from a locally isolated Bacillus sp. ZR-5: Potential application as a detergent additive

The aim of this study was to optimize protease production using a novel Bacillus sp. ZR-5 strainisolated from the soil, and evaluate its application in detergent industry. The proteolytic activityof the strain was demonstrated using gelatin hydrolysis screening test. Protease productionoptimization was carried out using a two-step approach: a conventional method in order toidentify the best car...

An Alkaline Protease from Bacillus pumilus MP 27: Functional Analysis of Its Binding Model toward Its Applications As Detergent Additive

A proteolytic strain of Bacillus pumilus MP 27 was isolated from water samples of Southern ocean produced alkaline protease. Since protease production need expensive ingredients, an economically viable process was developed by using low cost carbon source, wheat straw, supplemented with peptone. This protease was active within temperature ranges 10-70°C at pH 9. This process was optimized by re...

Enhanced Production of Alkaline Protease by a Mutant of Bacillus licheniformis N-2 for Dehairing

The purpose of the present investigations was to improve the yield of alkaline protease for leather dehairing by subjecting the indigenous proteolytic strain Bacillus licheniformis N-2 to various mutagenic treatments viz. UV irradiations, NTG (N-methyl-N-nitro-N-nitrosoguinidine) and MMS (methyl methane sulfonate). After screening on skim milk agar plates, a total of nine positive mutants were ...

Production of Extracellular Protease and Determination of Optimal Condition by Bacillus Licheniformis BBRC 100053 (RESEARCH NOTE)

The production of protease by Bacillus licheniformis BBRC 100053 was studied. The most appropriate medium for the growth and protease production is composed of: lactose 1%, yeast extract 0.5%, peptone 0.5%, KH2PO4 0.1%, MgSO4.7H2O 0.02%. Enzyme production corresponded with growth and reached a maximums level (589 U/ml) during the stationary phase at 35°C, pH equivalent to 10 and with 150 rpm af...
